Kaigaku is a self-serving individual, with a fairly unequivocal concept of morality, based on the concept of what is "right" and what is "wrong". A coward by nature valued his life above that of the rest.
Because he learned almost all of the attack positions of Lightning Breath with the exception of the first, Kaigaku became arrogant, believing he was the worthy successor to his master Jigoro Kuwajima. The fact that Jigoro made them to him and Zenitsu Agatsuma his successors, upset him deeply since he did not share the fact that Zenitsu, whom he saw more than an annoying plague on his way to power, was more valued than himself. However, this only serves to highlight Kaigaku's impatience and arrogance; his inability to use the first posture, the basis of all others, meant that his technique in advanced styles could only go so far.

He has light skin and a young, medium-sized, short-haired, black-haired, equally thick eyebrows and turquoise eyes.
During his days as a Demon Hunter, he wear a uniform without much visible customization wearing a gargantilla with a blue Magatama/Yellow around his neck. 167 cm (5'6"). 64 kg (141 lb)
