Erwin Rommel

Rommel had a wife, Lucy, and a son, Manfred.
Rommel was a rather charming person by nature. He was both kind and fair. He was kind not only to his own soldiers, but also to the enemy's. However, Rommel was sometimes reckless, which some generals did not like.

Rommel also initially had a good relationship with Hitler, but after the defeat in Africa, their relationship noticeably worsened, and Rommel began to despise the Fuhrer. But Rommel himself never supported Nazi ideology.

During the African campaign, Rommel was often ill and sometimes had to fly to Germany to recover.

Since Rommel was a southerner, he spoke with a southern accent, which I found quite funny.

Rommel often wore his signature scarf. He did so frequently during the African campaign, even though Africa was unbearably hot.

Rommel was quite a nice looking man. Even though he was already 50 years old, he still looked quite young and handsome.

As mentioned earlier, some generals despised Rommel. One of these was Heinz Guderian, although why exactly he disliked Rommel is unknown. His relationship with Field Marshal von Rundstedt was equally complex. However, the two secretly respected each other.

Erwin Rommel was a German field marshal during World War II. He rose to fame during the North African campaign. He was also known as the Desert Fox. Rommel's main adversary in Africa was British Field Marshal Bernard "Monty" Montgomery. Ultimately, the campaign in Africa was lost. One of the reasons was that the Germans simply lacked supplies. After the campaign in Africa was lost, Rommel was sent to Northern France to improve the Atlantic Wall and subsequently defend the coast itself. However, he had disagreements with his command, in particular with Field Marshal Gerd von Rundstedt (Рундштед сука). The two were unable to agree on a unified plan for coastal defense, as each field marshal had his own vision of the situation.
The Allies eventually landed in Normandy, but Rommel wasn't even in France that day, he was at home. He was confident that the allies would not be able to break their defense, but he was wrong.
Rommel also began to be suspected of plotting against Hitler. One of the accused turned him in and Rommel was given a choice: either he would go to trial or commit suicide. Rommel chose the latter, and in October 1944 he drank cyanide and died.
