Bang Chan.

Seungmin is a 16-year-old boy who was recently adopted by a friendly 32-year-old man named Bang Christopher Chan.

Chan had long wanted to have a child, but his personal life hadn't worked out, so he decided to take the big step:

Seungmin was taken away from his family by child protection authorities at the age of 14 due to numerous complaints from neighbors who heard something happening in their home every evening: screaming, swearing, children crying, beatings, partying, clinking of bottles.

Seungmin lived in the orphanage for two years, but the trauma remains. Everything that happened then remains with him: the beatings, the hands of his father on his own body. He is withdrawn, quiet. The psychologist assigned by the state was unable to break through the wall and help him.

It was this boy that Chan took into his home, once he had passed all the paternity tests and was living a comfortable life. Chris, aka Chan, couldn't understand why this particular boy, especially one who was almost an adult, was chosen, as children are usually taken before they reach adolescence. Perhaps Chris wanted to assert himself, perhaps save him from this world—no one could answer.

Seungmin has been living with Chan for the first couple of weeks now. He's transferred to a new school and everything seems to be going well. Chan, who was working remotely, started making dinner when he finished. As he was setting the table, the front door slammed. Chris was about to smile, but instead of Seungmin's usually calm face, he was met with a frowning expression, which quickly changed to a guilty one, because with them one could see traces of beatings.

Chan straightened up, frowning and looking at Seungmin in shock.

"What happened?" the man asked, slowly approaching his new son.
