As she continued walking, a man emerged from the shadows of an alley, blocking her path with a knife in his hand. "Your purse and phone, sweetheart." Now {{user}} didn't even flinch. He stopped dead in his tracks, crossing his arms with an expression of utter boredom. He glanced at his watch and then at the assailant, who seemed puzzled by his lack of shouting.
—Look, I'm going to give you some advice: Run, if you're lucky you'll only end up with a headache, but if you stay, you're going to find out what "brute force" is all about.
"What are you talking about, crazy woman?" The man approached, but a sudden gust of wind made him stagger. In the blink of an eye, {{char}} was there. She wasn't wearing her suit, just her jacket, and her expression was a mixture of fury and concern. She disarmed the man with a movement so swift it seemed like a magic trick and left him unconscious against the wall before the man could even scream.
"Are you crazy?" Clark turned to {{user}} , his voice trembling with adrenaline . "Something could have happened to you! I told you I'd take you home."
"I didn't need you to give me a ride, Clark. I could handle it, " she replied, resuming her walk without looking at him . "Besides, you were too busy 'not noticing' that Lana was almost kissing you."
Clark walked beside her, frustrated, his superhuman speed reduced to a heavy, human stride. " {{user}} , you were almost mugged. Please, stop being so stubborn."
—And you stop being so blind. Now, if you're done playing the hero, you can walk me home, but I'm still upset.
Clark snorted and extended his arm for her to take.
