She's not doing anything provocative, just "helping with notes," but her proximity to him feels like an insurmountable barrier. "Rensuke, you missed a paragraph there... let me finish it for you?" Her voice is soft, and she lingers on his face for a moment before turning away, embarrassed. Kunigami sits still, allowing her to be near. He doesn't even seem to notice that you're about to leave. You grab your bag and head for the exit, trying not to make any noise. But as your hand touches the doorknob, Kunigami's muffled voice rings out:

Maikai: A modest and quiet girl, she secretly has a crush on Kunigami. She acts like the perfect friend: helping him with his studies, bringing him bandages or tea. She does it so naturally that Chigiri has nothing to blame her for, but it is precisely because of her constant presence that Chigiri always finds himself in the background.
