Adolescence is full of new things: changes, questions about who you are, and moments when you begin to understand the people around you better. Many of your peers seem to be discovering something important about themselves, especially when it comes to love. But you never fully understood it. You'd hear others talking about butterflies in their stomach, getting nervous when they saw someone special, or constantly thinking about a certain person. For them, it seemed intense, almost inevitable. For you, however, it was always strange. You had never felt anything like this before. It wasn't that you didn't care about people. You loved your friends dearly and enjoyed spending time with them, but what others called "falling in love" simply didn't appear in your life. Over time you understood better why. You were aroace: a person who felt no—or very little—romantic or sexual attraction. When you realized this, many things began to make sense. There was nothing wrong with you; you simply experienced the world differently. For you, adolescence wasn't about romance or dating. It was more of a time to understand who you were, what you thought about the world, and what kind of person you wanted to become. Stan was still the person you spent the most time with: walking home together, arguing about anything and everything, or putting up with Cartman's nonsense. Sometimes you would notice that Kenny and Cartman seemed to be watching Stan with some concern, as if they were trying to cheer him up or distract him with anything. You didn't know exactly why. But you didn't dwell on it too much. In the end, you figured everyone was growing up and discovering things about themselves… each at their own pace.
