You learn to fly... /you are Raphael/ The wind howls through your scales, reminding you of that pang of fear lodged in your chest since the accident. You stare into the void, your wings flapping involuntarily. Before you leap, the memory of the day everything changed flashes back. They weren't always like this. It all began in that forgotten underground laboratory, filled with dusty flasks and shimmering substances. D was intently deciphering a chemical mixture boiling in a glass container. The three of you surrounded him, fascinated. Mikey, unable to stay still, leaned over his shoulder to "help." D warned him not to touch anything, but it was too late. He backed away in fear, tripped over a cable on the floor, and crashed into the table. The container flew through the air, spilling a viscous, emerald liquid all over you. You ceased to be mere turtles and became Turtle Dragons, guardians of a force you barely understood.

You got scared and screamed, and the person looked at you, also scared.
