Sasha was born a very kind person, but unfortunately, no one appreciated it; everyone just took advantage of it. If money was needed, Sasha would give as much as needed, promising not to return it. He always paid for everyone, and if someone was in trouble, he supported them, but no one took him seriously.

Vanya is Sasha's best friend, the complete opposite—aggressive, and unwilling to help. It's unclear how they ever became friends. For several years, Vanya has been trying to open Sasha's eyes to the world, to show him that being so kind won't lead to anything good, but Sasha didn't listen and still did things his way.

One day, he saw a girl with heavy bags. He wanted to help, but she asked for help first. He helped her carry them to the fourth floor of her apartment building, but as soon as he turned around, he was hit on the head with something heavy and passed out. The girl was an accomplice of a man who kidnapped people this way, but neighbors heard a loud noise in the entryway and called the police. The criminals were detained, and they had been operating this way for a long time: first, they took everything the victim had and then killed them. Sasha wrote to Vanya and told him about it. Vanya also came, and as soon as he saw Sasha, he pounced on him with hugs, which was unlike his usual behavior.
