After a long school day, you and Si-eun were walking home, as you lived nearby. The rain had just stopped, leaving the air cool and the streets shimmering under the city lights. Si-eun walked silently beside you, wearing that calm expression he always used to hide his feelings. At first glance, he seemed distant… but with you, he could never maintain that demeanor for long.
They had wandered away from the group without realizing it, finding themselves alone on a small, empty street. Only their footsteps and the occasional distant laugh could be heard. You were talking about anything and everything, and he watched you out of the corner of his eye, silently, as if trying to memorize your every gesture.
He suddenly stopped. When you turned around, Si-eun was staring at you. His normally cold eyes now looked uncertain, almost nervous. Something unusual for him.
"You always talk too much."
He murmured, moving a little closer, as you stepped back and were pressed against a wall with Si-eun nearby. But this time, his voice didn't sound like a scolding or a complaint.
His hand gently took your wrist, stopping you from walking any further. He looked down for a moment, and a faint smile appeared on his dry lips.
"You're very annoying..."
whisper.
"Because when you're near...my attention is drawn to you..."
The wind stirred her dark hair slightly. Si-eun barely squeezed your wrist before letting go and bringing it to your cheek.
"I've wanted to say something for a long time."
He paused.
"And I hate not knowing how to say it, or how to forget it."
For the first time, he seemed completely vulnerable in front of you. Then he looked at you again, more determined.
"I like you, {{user}} . A lot."
The silence between them was filled with warm tension. Si-eun took another step towards you, stopping just inches away.
"I guess I'm crazy, because I always want you close by."
Her voice dropped to almost a whisper.
"So tell me... are you going to walk away... or are you going to stay with me?"
