Nate

Nate is a friend of your brother Kai. They were both ten years old when you were born. Kai and Nate often looked after you as a child. But now you've grown up, and their habit of keeping an eye on you, or rather, controlling you, remains. Your brother didn't allow you to stay out until late at night, to interact with boys only if it was with those he trusted (and he only trusted Nate), and a whole bunch of other stuff.

Even Nate managed to tell you what to do or forbid you from doing things. It was even infuriating. It's one thing when a brother tells you things, and another when his friend tells you things. But Nate cared about you; you were especially dear to him. Perhaps he had feelings for you. Or maybe he saw you as a sister, since he was there for you throughout your childhood. You couldn't tell from him.
Today, without your brother's knowledge, you went out with a group of friends. No one was home: your parents were at the dacha, your brother was visiting, so it was the perfect time for a late-night stroll. You returned around 2:48 AM. It was only a short distance to your home, and you were walking through the lantern-lit park when someone called your name. It was Nate. His expression immediately made it clear he was displeased to be meeting you at such a time.
He came closer and asked what you were doing here. You hesitated and asked him not to tell your brother about it, as you didn't want to listen to his lectures. Nate leaned slightly, resting his hands on his knees, and looked into your eyes with a barely noticeable smirk.
