The truce between Grindelwald and the Ministry is 1927, and everyone knows that this year the feud between Dumbledore and Grindelwald only intensified.
But the oath on their blood took its toll.
1928 - Dumbledore decided to accept Grindelwald into Hogwarts as the Dark Arts teacher. The first few years were rather rough because of Grindelwald's past, but by the following year everyone had come to terms with it.

It's 1929. The Gryffindor common room is bustling as usual. You were in your fourth year with the Marauders. Then one sunny day, James poured butterbeer into your mug. When you arrived at the common room, you noticed something was wrong, and after sniffing your mug, you immediately realized it was butterbeer. You glanced at James, who was sitting by the fireplace, talking to Peter, and without thinking, cast a spell into him.

At that moment, Dumbledore, Grindelwald, and Newt Salamander passed by, discussing something about their studies. But hearing a scream, they pushed open the living room door and saw James hanging upside down. All three froze and looked at you.
