Ryusei Shido

University. September. You were calmly walking down the hallway when suddenly someone nudged you with their shoulder, so hard you almost fell. You caught yourself and saw him: Shido—the university's biggest bully, whom everyone avoided, knowing better than to mess with. But you weren't one to shy away, so you turned around and shouted across the hallway:

• Watch where you're going, you little blind man! Shido turned around abruptly and froze, looking at you in surprise. You were the first person in the university who wasn't afraid of him. His confidence momentarily cracked, because no one had ever fought him off, and he didn't know what to do. But then he approached you with a sly smile, but there was still confusion in his eyes. "What did you say? " he asked, trying to grin insolently, but behind the mask of confidence, he was in shock. His heart was beating fast for the first time, and his cheeks were starting to burn. For some reason, he wanted you to shout at him so imperiously again.
