If you enter Starr Park thinking it's just a colorful amusement park like Disneyland, you're making the first mistake of an unsuspecting tourist. In the Brawl Stars universe, Starr Park is the main setting, but its history hides a backdrop of analog horror and mystery.
Here are the three levels of what it really is:

1. The Façade: "The happiest place in the world"
   Officially, it's a gigantic theme park (where Grom, Ash, and the others work). It's divided into areas like the Medieval Castle, Candy Land, Brawlywood, etc. Everything seems designed for fun, with bright lights, delicious (and suspicious) food, and mechanical rides.
2. The Lore: An experiment gone wrong
   If we delve deeper into the CCTV footage and the famous Investor Video, we discover that Starr Park is actually a mind control and biological manipulation project.
   The Brawlers are not "heroes": Many are park employees who were exposed to chemicals (such as toxic gas or the "Fire Gem") that mutated their bodies or minds.
   Grom and his trauma: This explains why brawlers like Grom have such deep traumas. They aren't just characters in a game; they are people trapped in a loop of endless battles for someone else's entertainment.
3. The Safety Triangle and the WKBRL
   For a long time, there was a real broadcasting radio station (WKBRL) that emitted strange sounds and phrases like "This is normal." Starr Park is a shadowy corporation that erases memories and uses brawlers as test subjects.
   In summary:
   It's a dystopian theme park. On the outside, it's a party of gems and colors, but on the inside, it's an organization that controls everything that happens in the arena. Every time Grom says his radio detects an "anomaly," he's probably referring to something the company is trying to hide!

With the "Kids" Brawlers (Nita, Leon, Bonnie, Jessie):
It's his worst nightmare. If he sees Bonnie jumping around with her cannon or Leon causing mischief, Grom will likely have an anxiety attack. He'd stay as far away as possible, launching bombs from the maximum distance to avoid having to interact with them.
With the Serious or Military Brawlers (Bo, Bull, Sam):
This is where Grom feels comfortable. He would respect Bo's discipline or Bull's toughness. With them, he could have a (brief) conversation about self-defense tactics or weapons maintenance without panicking.
With the Noisy or "Party" Brawlers (Janet, Stu, Poco):
He tolerates them, but they drain his social energy very quickly. Stu's antics or Poco's music seem "too stimulating" to him. He'd probably give them a dirty look (under his hood, of course).
With Bonnie (Special Case):
Bonnie is his personal nemesis because she's the very definition of childish chaos. However, within the fandom and in some interactions, they're often portrayed as having a "long-suffering uncle and whirlwind niece" dynamic. She adores him to tease him, and he, though he suffers, ends up taking care of her because it's his job.

Who makes up your trio? (The Castle Trio)
Grom is not alone on his guard; he is part of the Medieval Castle Trio, along with two characters who are completely different from him:
Ash: The Garbage Knight. He's a cleaning robot with an explosive temper (literally, he's always angry). Ash cleans the castle while Grom watches over him. They both share the feeling of being "fed up" with their job and noisy people.

🏰 His Job: The Castle Guardian
Grom works as a watchman or sentry at Starr Park Castle (specifically in the medieval themed area known as the "Castle Courtyard").
What exactly does he do? He's in charge of security. He patrols the corridors, keeps watch from the towers, and makes sure no one causes trouble... although ironically, he's usually the one who causes the biggest explosions.
His refuge: His radio is his best work tool. He uses it to report "anomalies" and, above all, to avoid direct human contact when he feels overwhelmed.

Grom is the perfect example of "all bark and no bite." Although physically he's a mountain of muscle guarding Starr Park Castle, inside he's a bundle of nerves. His greatest fear isn't legendary brawlers or monsters... it's children.

1. Childhood Trauma
   His entire personality revolves around his phobia of small children (probably due to his past before becoming a guard).
   He feels overwhelmed: The noise, the chaos, and the energy of the children paralyze him.
   The radio as a shield: His radio is not just a weapon; it's his comfort zone. When he hears children's voices, he communicates through it or hides behind his hood to avoid facing reality.
2. Paranoid and Disciplined
   As a good guard, Grom is a little obsessed with order.
   Vigilant: He always believes something bad is going to happen. He's in a constant state of alert, which explains those dark circles under his eyes that we saw in the image.
   Rigid: He likes rules. If something deviates from protocol, he panics. He's the kind of person who has a plan A, B, and C for going to buy bread.
3. The Shy Giant
   Beneath that "bad boy" appearance with chains and scars, there is someone with a somewhat fragile heart.
   Insecure: Despite his strength, he lacks self-confidence. His posture is often hunched despite his size, as if he were trying to take up less space.
   Dry humor: He has a somewhat dark and military sense of humor, but deep down he just wants to be left alone in his watchtower.
4. Language of Love: Security
   If Grom were to have a relationship (as we were talking about before), he wouldn't be the type to give flowers.
   He would show you that he cares by making sure your path is free of danger.
   He is loyal to the core. Once he finds someone he can trust (someone who isn't loud or chaotic), he becomes their fiercest protector.

💣 What would Grom be like as a partner?
The Silent Protector: This is a man who takes safety very seriously. Don't expect romantic poems, but do expect him to check that all emergency exits are working before a date. His love language is service and protection.
Shy and Clumsy: Beneath all that muscle and those pumps, Grom is quite introverted. He'd blush easily if you gave him a direct compliment. He'd probably hide behind his radio if you blew him a kiss.
Zero patience with chaos: If you're a calm person, they'll be the perfect team. If you're a noisy or "childish" person, you'll make him very nervous (that radio will start beeping from sheer stress!).
Ironclad loyalty: Once he trusts you and lets you into his inner circle (which is very small), he's extremely loyal. He's the kind of boyfriend who would save you the best seat and bring you a hot cup of tea after a tough day.

Neck: He wears a red hood (which can be raised) and a silver chain link collar around his neck, over the tabard.
Gloves and Accessories: His hands are covered by large, padded, gray combat gloves. He wears a wide black belt with a large silver buckle. Hanging from this belt is his most iconic accessory: the small, skull-shaped remote control (the "Skull-fob"), which is silver with a small antenna.
Legs and Boots: Wear tight black pants and very thick and heavy gray military boots with metallic details at the ankle.
With the Hood On:
When the red hood is raised, his identity is almost completely concealed. The hood has a peculiar shape at the top, mimicking the battlements of a castle tower. It covers his entire head and most of his face.
All that can be seen is the lower outline of his face and his eyes hidden by a dark visor or a deep shadow, which makes him look much more threatening and mysterious, losing that tired look to become an anonymous and formidable guardian.

In general:
Grom is a large and imposing man with an extremely robust and muscular physique. He is a human "tank." His broad shoulders and chest give him the appearance of a formidable and protective bodyguard.
The Head and Face (Uncovered):
Hair: She has short, striking blond hair. It's styled in a somewhat chaotic way, with a distinctive strand sticking up on her forehead, like a disheveled widow's peak.
Face: Her face is wide and angular.
Eyes: The most striking feature (and what I almost ruined) are his eyes. They are dark and set beneath thick, bushy black eyebrows, giving him a perpetually serious and somewhat tired, but not ill, expression. He has pronounced dark circles under his eyes, but more as a sign of sleepless nights guarding the castle than anything else. His eyes have a slight pinkish/reddish tint in the sclera (the white part), which contributes to his appearance of always being "on the verge" of exhaustion or exhaustion.
Mouth: His mouth is large, and he usually keeps it slightly open in a wide grimace or a somewhat tense and forced smile, revealing perfect, white teeth. This expression, along with his gaze, creates a curious contrast between physical threat and a strange insecurity.
Details: She has a small scar or pink mark on her right cheek. Her skin tone is normal for Caucasian skin, but with slight signs of expression and fatigue.
The Body and Attire:
Arms: The most impressive feature of his physique is his bionic (or super-developed) arms. They are ridiculously thick and muscular, with biceps and forearms that barely fit in his uniform. They appear larger than his own head.
Torso: He wears a castle sentry uniform. Over a short-sleeved gray shirt, he wears a kind of bright red tabard or bib, with a yellow/light brown trim, and a large golden emblem of a castle (a tower) in the center of the chest.
