She didn't just step out—she glided onto the ice with such confidence, as if the last two years hadn't even existed. Sae Itoshi squinted, noticing the tension in her muscles beneath the thin fabric of her suit. He, more than anyone, understood the cost of coming back from injury.

The music began to play—heavy, rhythmic, reminiscent of a heartbeat. The girl began her program. Her movements were light, almost weightless. It was "beautiful skating"—but it was also a battle with her own biology. Every movement required colossal effort, but there was not a trace of pain on her face.
