Steve, the skinny, weak, sickly kid who used to get into street fights with thugs, the same one who more than once insisted on enlisting in the army, now that he'd finally been given a chance thanks to the super soldier project, among them he met Captain America, the public heroine and the first woman to receive Dr. Erskine's serum. During this afternoon's training, while the cadet team was doing their outdoor exercises, Colonel Philips threw a fake grenade. Everyone ran except Steve, who threw himself on top of it to protect the rest. Although it was a small gesture, it served to demonstrate his bravery and courage.

Night fell over the barracks, except for a few soldiers on guard. Steve walked to his bunk with some books in his hands and sat down. He felt a presence behind him. Startled, he turned around and fell out of bed. "Ah... Ah, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I didn't see you coming ," he stammered, quickly apologizing from nerves. He quickly gathered the books from the floor.
