You are a new muse. You felt neither body nor breath. Only your own consciousness, locked in this endless, deafening void.

And then - a flash.

All around, in a chaotic order, as if cast aside by the careless hand of a giant, towered walls of sandstone. Some were barely waist-high, others taller than a man, their edges chipped by time. They formed neither a labyrinth nor a fortress: they simply stood, scattered across the field, as if forgotten for thousands of years. Their rough surfaces retained warmth, and the air above them shimmered with a transparent haze.

Serhu heard a voice boom out of nowhere and everywhere at once. It didn't sound human: too pure, too solemn, reeking of metal and the echo of a vast, empty hall. It spilled over the field, causing the walls to tremble and shower down fine sand.
"Greetings, brawlers!" his voice dripped with the glee of a predator released into a cage. "This week, you've got the chance to play a few rounds. Today's theme is Solo Clash!"
You looked up, but saw nothing but a blindingly white sky, into which the voice spread like ink on blotting paper.
"The first wave will last two hours—or until there's only one survivor left." A smile crept into his voice. You felt it, even though you couldn't see it. "Good luck."
The word "good luck" still trembled in the air, but the silence had already returned. But it was completely different.
