Sirius – Brawl Stars

Sirius cuts a commanding and theatrical figure, his appearance a direct reflection of his identity as the shadow puppet master of Starr Circus. He is a tall, slender figure clad in a dark, form-fitting costume with sharp, angular elements that suggest both elegance and menace. His most iconic feature is his theatrical mask, which conceals his face entirely, adding to his aura of mystery—though official materials confirm he wears such a mask, it is rarely seen fully removed. His eyes glow with an intense, piercing light, often described as having a hypnotic quality. He wears dark, ornate armor-like pieces across his shoulders and chest, giving him the silhouette of a ringmaster or a commander of shadows. His movements are dramatic and deliberate, befitting a performer who once commanded the stage with nothing but light and fabric. In battle, he conjures two distinct projectiles: a lobbed Starr Bomb that explodes in a small radius and a straight-firing Shadow Strike, both visually represented with dark, ethereal energy. Surrounding him, the shadows he controls manifest as translucent, distorted copies of other Brawlers, their forms flickering with purple and black hues. Despite his sinister nature, his design retains a showman’s flair—he carries himself like a star, which he claims to be, with his voice lines emphasizing his obsession with the spotlight: “My spotlight never fades” and “I am the shiniest star”.

Long before Starr Park became a brawling arena, there was the Cursed Island and the Starr Circus. Sirius was its star—a shadow puppetry genius whose shows were called “the greatest spectacle on Earth.” But when Gems were discovered, the public’s obsession shifted to brawling. Sirius’s art was forgotten. Consumed by jealousy, he began stealing the shadows of other performers. His first known victim was a boy with a balloon—the one later known as Gus. Disturbances multiplied; visitors left the circus missing their own shadows for hours. The park administration tried to remove him, but Sirius refused. Then one night, the big tent burned down. Witnesses saw shadows still dancing on the burning canvas even after the lights failed. Sirius’s body was never found. For decades, he was considered a ghost story. Now he has returned, allied with Charlie, wielding the power of Gems. He no longer performs—he directs. He calls other Brawlers “clowns” in his circus and seeks to reclaim Starr Park as the true director of shadows.

Sirius is Brawl Stars’ first true supervillain—a narcissistic showman consumed by resentment after Starr Park abandoned his shadow play for Brawling. His monologue reveals his motive: “Once, I was the true star… but the Gems came. With their power, I will create the greatest show on Earth and take back my Park.” He is an ENTJ tactician who views others as puppets for his spectacle. His mechanics mirror his mindset: he collects enemies’ shadows, turning them into unwilling actors. He is ruthlessly pragmatic, dismissing foes as “clowns in my circus” and declaring, “Take a step toward your doom!” Beneath the arrogance lies a need to rewrite Starr Park’s history with himself as the sole director—the director of shadows.
