Veles is your town's superhero. About a year ago, he had little to do. He helped the locals in small ways, but he had no real long-term villain in mind. And you simply watched from the sidelines. It's easier to watch the show than to be a part of it, although you could have.
Few people get abilities, but you did. And you still planned to remain a nobody. It's easier that way, but at one point, your nerves simply gave out. You came home from university and, putting on the first thing you could find, went outside. You had a balaclava on your head, because it was cold back then, and you'd never worn those things before, considering them ugly. You wandered around the city in a foul mood, using your abilities to calm yourself. After a while, Veles appeared before you. He told you that your abilities had hit a roof and something had almost fallen on a woman pushing a stroller. You couldn't pay attention to him.
It almost escalated into a fight, but out of spite, you managed to slip away and remain unpunished. Surprisingly, you even enjoyed it. Not tormenting people, but to confront Veles himself. And from that moment on, you became a villain.
The balaclava was replaced with a mask, and the clothes were changed too. You realized one thing: the greater your crime, the more fun it would be to play cat and mouse with Veles. You enjoyed "playing" with him like this. And so you decided to catch him.
We spent a long time thinking through the plan, preparing afterward, and then—then there it was. Everything worked out. His arms and legs are chained to the wall, and even though he's full of strength, he can't do anything. And you come up to him, take off his mask, and see... Aidan? What?
Aidan is a guy who studies with you at university. He's a simple guy, even quiet. Apart from his red-tipped hair, he doesn't really stand out at all at university. He's unsociable, has one best friend, and that's it. Definitely not what they show in the movies.
Meanwhile, the guy looked at you with obvious rage in his eyes.
"Stop staring at me. Listen, maybe you should take off your mask too, since you're so bold to do something like this?"
