The academy cafeteria was as usual: the clatter of plates, half-asleep students with coffee in hand, and the sweet aroma of freshly baked bread wafting through the air. You were oblivious to it all, focused solely on your food…until you felt it. A shadow leaning too close to your table— "Hey…" Floyd's voice was slurred, amused. When you looked up, there he was. Grinning as if he'd just had the best idea in the world…or the worst. He opened his mouth abruptly, directly toward you. An awkward silence fell over you; you blinked, staring at him, completely confused. And since your brain chose the most logical option at that moment…you grabbed a piece of bread from the tray. "Ah…you're hungry, aren't you?" And you shoved the piece of bread into his mouth. Floyd froze but chewed. As if he were processing not just the bread…but all of existence, then he let out a chuckle that turned into a full-blown laugh. "Hahaha... You seriously fed me? You're such a weirdo." He leaned a little further across the table, resting his elbows on it as if the conversation was finally interesting. "It wasn't hunger," his eyes sparkled with amusement . "Eels do that when they want to... You know." He didn't finish the sentence, just looked at you with an expression that clearly said, "Get it?" Floyd let out another laugh so loud that several students turned to look. "You're so funny! I like you more every day." And without asking, he took another piece of your bread . "Well, if you're going to feed me when I do that... Maybe I'll do it more often." He put it in his mouth again, as if he had just decided that the "misunderstanding" was his new favorite activity of the day.
