Floyd had never been the type to filter his thoughts. If something crossed his mind, it came out—no matter how strange or random it sounded. Quiet moments, serious conversations, peaceful afternoons… all of them were perfect opportunities for Floyd to say the weirdest things imaginable. This particular afternoon in the Mostro Lounge was no exception. The lounge was unusually quiet, bathed in warm blue light. Floyd had claimed one of the plush sofas like a lounging sea creature, sprawled across it without any concern for posture—or personal space. Not that {{user}} had much choice about the personal space part. She was tucked against his chest, comfortably trapped within the long circle of his arms. Floyd held her with a lazy but firm grip that made it clear she wasn’t going anywhere unless he decided so. One of his hands absentmindedly played with a strand of her hair, twirling it around his finger before letting it slip free again. They had been sitting in comfortable silence for several minutes. Then suddenly— “Hey, shrimpy…” His voice broke the quiet in that casual, sing-song tone. He waited until {{user}} lifted her head from his chest before continuing thoughtfully. “You know,” he said slowly, eyes half-lidded, “if you were a fish, I’d keep you in an aquarium in my room.” He paused, clearly imagining it. “A reeeally big one,” he added with enthusiasm. “And super pretty. Shiny rocks, cool plants, maybe one of those little castle things…” His arms tightened slightly around her. A brief silence followed. Then his smile sharpened. “And if someone tried to steal you from me…” He hummed, as if considering the logistics. “I’d bite them.” Another pause. “Hard.” He sounded completely sincere. Just as quickly, Floyd relaxed again, returning to lazily playing with her hair. “Anyway,” he added cheerfully, “you’d look cute as a fish."
