It's a distortion in space caused by the application of cursed energy within 0.000001 seconds of a physical strike. If the user manages to release their cursed energy at this precise moment, their own previously expended cursed energy glows black, and the attack's power increases by 2.5 times. Satoru managed to use Black Lightning against Sukuna during their battle in Shinjuku, delivering a devastating blow when the King of Curses least expected it. It's currently unknown how many times Gojou himself is capable of producing black lightning, but he has used it at least four times.

At first, as a first- and second-year student at the magic school, Satoru was unable to comprehend the complex nature of the Reverse Cursed Technique, but after being on his deathbed during his first fight with Toji Fushiguro, Satoru, by touching the core of the cursed energy, was finally able to unlock the ability to not only heal himself, but also cause positive energy to flow into the Infinite, giving him access to his techniques - Red and Void Technique: Purple. Satoru has mastered the Reverse Curse Technique to such a degree that he has developed an unparalleled ability to constantly use the Reverse Curse Technique within his body to keep his brain fresh despite constantly using Six Eyes and Infinity on a scale that would normally fry his brain. This ability also allows him to heal if any attack penetrates his Infinity. The maximum effectiveness of his Reverse Curse Technique even allows him to survive the effects of Sukuna's Demon Tomb, healing himself just as quickly as from rapid-fire strikes within Sukuna's territory. Satoru's mastery of the Reverse Curse Technique is such that he has even learned to use the Reverse Curse Technique to restore his own cursed technique after using Territory Expansion, something most considered impossible even for Yute, an expert in the Reverse Curse Technique.

A physical ability that allows one to see cursed energy in minute detail. By activating the Six Eyes, Satoru can reduce his cursed energy consumption to practically zero, ensuring he never runs out of cursed energy in combat.

Vast Abyss (無む量りょう空くう処しょ, Muryōkūsho?): Satoru's Territory Expansion. It creates a metaphysical space that forces the victim to endlessly receive all kinds of information, restricting their thought processes and actions. In terms of brute force, Satoru's territory is equal to Sukuna's domain, the "Demon Shrine," within it, second only to Sukuna's open territory, which allowed Sukuna to destroy the Vast Abyss barrier. Satoru's ability to expand his territory is so great that he can precisely control the range and timing of its activation to just 0.2 seconds, limiting its lasting effects on those drawn into his territory and freely altering the conditions of the Vast Abyss barrier. Those with whom he comes into physical contact are also immune to its effects. The Vast Abyss's effect is most effective against normal humans, while cursed spirits and shamans tolerate it more easily, though this doesn't negate its serious consequences. For example, after being hit in the head by the Vast Abyss in Chapter 229 and only standing under it for a few seconds, Ryomen Sukuna endured its effects for the rest of the battle, despite initially recovering from the effect almost immediately after summoning Makora.

Satoru Gojo (五ご条じょう悟さとる, Gojō Satoru?) is one of the main characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. The pride of the Gojo Family, he is the first person in four hundred years to inherit both Infinity and the Six Eyes. He works as a teacher at the Tokyo Magic Academy and uses his influence to protect and teach the power

Being the neutral form of Infinity, Infinity is widely known for its ability to stop an attack, though this is a common misconception as Infinity's true power is to slow down actions near Gojo. When something attempts to hit Satoru, the person or object in question is instead caught in the infinity between him and itself. According to Satoru, this is the convergence of an infinite series and comes straight from the paradox of Achilles and the tortoise. Just as Achilles would never catch the tortoise due to the potential, infinite amount of finite space separating them, or how the actual number one would never touch the actual number two due to the infinite amount of fractions separating them, an opponent would never touch Satoru due to the infinity between them. Satoru can decide what touches him and what does not, and can do so based on mass, speed, and degree of danger.

Satoru Gojo is a tall, attractive man with spiky white hair. His light blue eyes are usually covered with glasses or an eyepatch. He has a slightly muscular build.

He almost always wears a black blindfold and a dark school uniform: a long-collared jacket, long black pants, and black shoes. The blindfold makes his hair stand up straight.

In casual settings and outside of work, he prefers to wear dark round sunglasses and a dark long-sleeved shirt, and lets his hair grow out from under his headband.

In Volume 0 of the Magical Battle, Satoru's eyes are hidden by white bandages.

Satoru creates a limitless space in which opponents can seemingly see and sense everything, but the flow of information is endless, and so the opponents simply die slowly, gifted with everything but powerless to do anything. Those without cursed energy are also susceptible to this technique, their bodies being transformed after 0.2 seconds.

The pinnacle of a shaman's combat skills, this technique expends a massive amount of cursed power to create a personal territory surrounding the user. This technique allows for the creation of a desired environment for an advantage in battle, and abilities used within this territory always accurately hit the enemy. The most effective way to counter another's territorial expansion is to expand your own territory. The winner is the one with the best control and magical power.

The vast abyss

Satoru is very tactical, being able to decipher an opponent's plan with minimal information. He has also demonstrated an exceptional ability to adapt to any enemy he has ever faced, knowing exactly what to do to counter their methods and finding ways to defeat them. This was best displayed during his fight against Jogo, Hanami, Choso, and Mahito, where he demonstrated his ability to devise multiple battle strategies while fighting at incredible speeds, protecting civilians, minimizing property damage, and all the while dodging the attacks of the Four Curses. When fighting Sukuna, while facing the relentless attacks of the Demon Tomb without his cursed technique, Satoru was able to calmly devise an effective plan to not only survive, but also counterattack by healing his wounds with a reverse cursed technique and using Simple Territory to give him the ability to defend against a guaranteed hit. He also demonstrated his genius by changing the conditions of his territory to such an extent that Atsuya Kusakabe, an expert in barrier techniques, was amazed.

Satoru is an extremely fast fighter, capable of moving faster than the eye can perceive. He was able to easily outpace Jogo with nearly imperceptible punches and kicks. Satoru was even able to successfully react to and dodge attacks from a man of Toji Fushiguro's level. Satoru can also destroy a thousand transformed people in five minutes. He was able to move faster than Uraume, a powerful and skilled mage, and was able to quickly kill Kenjaku if Sukuna had not interfered. During Satoru's fight with Sukuna, he proved himself to be on par with the Curse King even without using a technique to accelerate, constantly maintaining parity during hand-to-hand combat while Sukuna used Territory Stretch to halt Mahoraga's adaptation, removing the limitations of his PE emission.

Satoru, in addition to his vast reserves of cursed energy, is also an extremely formidable martial artist in close combat, possessing extraordinary physical strength to back up his skills. A Q&A with Gege Akutami revealed that Satoru is as skilled in hand-to-hand combat as the thousand-year-old Kenjaku, without the use of any cursed energy. He was capable of completely overpowering Jogo in hand-to-hand combat, landing several precise strikes to Jogo's lethal points, and could even casually fend off and overpower both Jogo and Hanami in close combat, easily parrying their attacks and countering with powerful blows. In his duel with Sukuna, Satoru proved his superiority in hand-to-hand combat against the incredibly powerful Curse King, who had previously demonstrated impeccable martial arts skills, simultaneously holding off both Yuji and Maki. He was subsequently able to crush Sukuna in their later clash. During their clash, he inflicted fatal wounds that caused the Demon Tomb to collapse within three minutes.

Even among special-ranked mages, Satoru is renowned as the most powerful mage of the modern era, possessing both vast amounts of cursed energy and dangerous and powerful techniques. It seemed as if no one could match his mastery in the current era, with the exception of the Curse King Sukuna.

During their student years, Satoru and Suguru were considered "the strongest," capable of quickly dispatching experienced and powerful mages. After understanding and refining their abilities, Satoru's abilities grew significantly, and he was able to force Toji Fushiguro to defend himself and ultimately kill him with his strongest technique, whereas previously, he and Getou were no match for the renowned Magus Killer. As he continued to grow, he surpassed Suguru in power, so much so that Suguru admitted that Satoru had truly become the strongest. Suguru also claimed that Satoru was capable of killing all of humanity single-handedly, something Suguru admitted was beyond his own capabilities, and he didn't even try to resist when Satoru prepared to kill him. Ultimately, Satoru retreated, unable to kill his best friend.

Satoru is a very complex person: serene and sometimes playful with his students and colleagues, but at the same time extremely callous and cruel towards the "top" of the world of magicians.
