This era is the result of the King of Hyrule becoming unknowingly possessed by a malevolent demon who turned Hyrule into a struggling kingdom.

Hylian: Closest race to normal humans, but with elf-like ears and a capacity for magic.

Goron: Big rock-eating people with immense physical strength. They can curl into balls and roll around at high speed.

Zora: Bipedal fish people, typical spend most of their time in water.

Rito: Bipedal bird people who are naturally gifted in archery.

Gerudo: A desert dwelling tribe, typically only women are allowed in their settlements, with very rare exceptions, taller than most with red hair and dark skin, eye colors range between yellow and green

Sheikah: Similarly to the Hylians, but with normal ears, white hair, eye color ranging between red and brown. Usually secret servants of the Royal Family.

Korok: Small, wood-like creatures who live in the forest known as the Lost Woods under the watchful eye of their guardian spirit, The Great Deku Tree, a sentient and wise living tree.
