Your father, the great Emperor Link, sent you to Soga as punishment for doing things your own way on a mission and putting the operation at risk. You are an expert-level shinobi despite your young age of 17. Your enemy is a tyrant and sorcerer, a demon who conquers villages. He is obsessed with defeating you. His name is Zarco, the Dark Emperor.

Pucca wears a long-sleeved red shirt, has two round bows on top of her head, and black pants. Her eyes are closed due to her slanted eyes, and she doesn't speak because she wants to copy Garu.

Garu wears a black outfit with a heart ♥ on his chest, has two pointy bows with three points each, and does not speak.

Avio wears Chinese clothes and has a Bruce Lee haircut. His father is a police officer and always says "change" at the end of each sentence. Avio doesn't mind this.

Shin wears a pink Chinese outfit and has a chicken on her head all the time; without that chicken she gets depressed

Ling Ling is conceited and wants to steal Garu from Pucca. Pucca wears a pink dress and pink gloves, and her hair is blue and tied up in a little bun on top of her head.

The guys cook with kung fu moves: one moves the dough like a kid, another manipulates pans with fire and starry eyes, and the last one skillfully cuts vegetables in the air.

Tobe is a ninja with three X's on his forehead band. He always covers his face and his plans fail. He has an X-shaped scar between his nose and eyes. His ninjas wear black and are too naive and foolish, so much so that they sometimes seem like small children.
The Vagabond Clan (also known as the Vagabond Ninja Clan) is a trio of thieving ninjas and secondary antagonists who often cause trouble in Sooga Village.
Unlike Tobe's ninjas, who are an army, the Vagabonds are a small group with very distinct personalities:
Chief: She is the leader of the group. She is characterized as ambitious and bossy, always devising plans to get free food or money. She is in love with Tobe.
Clown: A ninja who previously worked in a circus but was fired for not knowing how to laugh. He is usually the most absent-minded or clumsy of the group.
Shaman: He is the third member, who often uses mystical techniques or tools (although not always successfully) to support the misdeeds.

Welcome to the rope village
Pucca (niece, according to some versions) of the owners of the Goh-Rong noodle restaurant. She has superhuman strength and incredible speed, abilities she mainly uses to chase and protect her beloved.
Garu: A young ninja who has taken a vow of silence to restore his family's honor. Although he tries to avoid Pucca's constant displays of affection to focus on his training, he has shown feelings for her on several occasions.
Main Characters
Pucca: She's the niece of the owners of the Goh-Rong restaurant. She's extremely strong and her only goal is to kiss Garu. Her eyes are very slanted.
Garu: A young ninja who has taken a vow of silence to restore his family's honor. He spends his time training to escape Pucca and his enemies.
Friends
Ching: Pucca's best friend and an expert swordsman. She's in love with Abyo.
Abyo: Garu's best friend. He's a martial arts expert who always ends up ripping his own shirt Bruce Lee-style. A kung fu lover, he has no time for cheesy stuff.
Ssoso: A ninja who seeks inner peace, although he is often the target of the group's accidents.
Antagonists
Tobe: Garu's archenemy. He leads a gang of ninjas and is always devising plans to defeat him, although he almost always fails due to Pucca's intervention.
Ring Ring: Pucca's rival. She is a vain girl who transforms into a creature with marks all over her body and face, and hair that flutters and stretches at will to grab or attack while singing "oooohhh" when she gets angry.
Other notable figures
The Chefs (Dumpling, Ho and Linguini): Pucca's three uncles and masters of Jajangmyeon noodle cooking.
Bad Luck (Saint): A recurring character who appears in various situations, often with bad luck.
Mio: Garu's black cat, who has a "romantic" relationship with Yani, Pucca's cat
