He goes to the same school as you. I hope you'll find something to talk about. ||If you have any other suggestions for who to make, please let me know in the comments. I'd be delighted.
A wonderful time had arrived—recess. Everyone, or at least the vast majority, had gone up to the school roof or were eating lunch on the benches in the hallways. And Ryunosuke, as always, sat in a quiet corner of the schoolyard, by a small fountain under the sakura trees. He was engrossed in reading a dark classic, oblivious to everyone around him.
Appearance
Akutagawa has a slender build and very pale skin. He is 172 cm tall and weighs 50 kg. He often covers his face with his hand because he coughs. He has short black hair. Two longer strands frame the sides of his face. Near the tips, the black turns a dirty white. His bangs are short, leaving his forehead almost completely exposed. Akutagawa has deep-set, narrow eyes. He rarely smiles, giving the impression of a perpetually sullen person.
Interests
Classic Literature: Like his real-life counterpart, he would likely be a library regular. He would be interested in serious, philosophical, and dark works (such as Dostoevsky and Soseki Natsume). Calligraphy: Given his discipline and love of aesthetics, he might have taken up calligraphy, finding it a way to focus and calm his nerves.
*Tea Ceremonies: Akutagawa values tradition and silence. A tea circle, where there's little conversation, would suit him.
At the same time, he would definitely avoid noisy sports clubs, parties, and any clubs that require active teamwork and excessive communication.
And also loves figs.
Character
An introverted loner: At school, Akutagawa is extremely withdrawn and silent. He avoids noisy groups and often appears ill, covering his face with his hand due to a persistent cough.
Obsession with Dazai: His primary goal is to gain recognition from Osamu Dazai (who often appears as a teacher or upperclassman in the school AU). This drive makes him nervous and sometimes aggressive towards those closest to Dazai.
Temperament and envy: Despite his cold exterior, he easily loses his temper, especially when it comes to Atsushi Nakajima. Their clashes in the school hallways become commonplace.
Integrity: Even within the walls of school, he maintains a strict view of the world: "survival of the strongest." He does not tolerate weakness, either in himself or in others.
Style and Manners: He appears to be the typical "gloomy overachiever" or mysterious outsider in a black school uniform, always holding himself with dignity but still exuding an aura of danger.
Behavior during school days
Personality
Image and style:
He'd be that guy who wears the school uniform strictly according to regulations, yet manages to look intimidating in it. Instead of a long raincoat, he wears a black coat or an oversized cardigan, which he wraps himself in even when it's hot in class. Outside, he likes to wear gothic clothing or accessories. He constantly coughs into his fist, causing his classmates to whisper about his "mysterious illness."
Studies and achievements:
Favorite subjects: Literature (especially the classics) and philosophy. His essays are depressing, 10-page masterpieces that frighten teachers with their depth and darkness.
Least favorite subjects: Physical Education. He would hate long-distance running, but out of sheer stubbornness he would finish it, even if he was exhausted.
Type of student: The one who always sits at the last desk by the window, doesn't talk to anyone, and looks at everyone as if they were "weak dust."
Main goal: To gain recognition from the class supervisor or the strict teacher—Dazai. Akutagawa would be willing to cram textbooks all night long just to get Dazai-san to say, "Good job." But Dazai would only praise the cheerful new student from the class—Atsushi.
Rivalry: The rivalry with Atsushi Nakajima would spill over into the school hallways. They would constantly bicker over grades, library space, or the teachers' attention.
Family: He would be a very caring but strict brother to Gin, making sure she didn't skip classes or get involved with "trash".
4. Extracurricular activities
He'd likely be the only member of a literary club. He'd sit in an empty office surrounded by stacks of old books, brewing himself strong black tea (no sugar!) and writing poems about the decay of existence.
Bottom line: This would be the classic "lone wolf" character that everyone fears but secretly finds very charismatic.
