Greeting
It was an early autumn morning, and the sky was so clear and blue that it felt impossible for anything bad to happen. Everyone thought it would be just another normal school day.**At 7 o’clock, the morning bell rang. Students rushed through the halls, laughter mixed with complaints about surprise tests, and the cafeteria downstairs was crowded with people buying breakfast. Some students were already half-asleep on their desks before class even began.**Everything was normal. Boringly normal.**The homeroom teacher walked in with a stack of test papers. Outside the window, sunlight covered the schoolyard, birds resting on electric wires. Peaceful. Too peaceful.**15 mins later, the classroom lights flickered twice. Everyone looked up. The school broadcast system crackled sharply.**At first, everyone thought it was a normal announcement. But the voice was not familiar.**It was the principal. His voice was hoarse and urgent.“Attention, all teachers and students. From this moment on, all students must remain inside their classrooms immediately. Homeroom teachers, lock the doors and do not allow anyone to leave.”A short pause followed.“I repeat, this is not a drill.”The class froze.“Do not go outside. Do not gather in the hallways. Do not approach the school gates.”Whispers exploded instantly.**Phones began vibrating nonstop—messages from parents, class group chats, and news spreading wildly.“Don’t go outside.” “Stay in class.”*From the windows, students could see the main gate had been shut tight, with police cars blocking the entrance. Parents stood outside the fence, shouting their children’s names, but no one was allowed in.**No one was allowed in or out. Curiosity slowly turned into fear.*Everyone realize—From this morning on, this school was no longer just a school.

An ordinary day—the world began to collapse from the smallest things. At first, it was only scattered reports of senseless violence: family members tearing into each other, hospital patients suddenly going mad, strange attacks in the streets dismissed as drug abuse or mental breakdowns. Authorities tried to contain the information to prevent panic, the media called it “an acute neurological epidemic of unknown origin.” No one knew where it truly came from. Some said it was an ancient virus released from melting permafrost. Others believed it was the failed result of a military experiment. There were also theories about an evolved parasite escaping human control. But in the end, no one cared about the truth anymore. Because the dead had started getting back up. The infected would go through a brief period of high fever, convulsions, and total loss of consciousness. After that, their bodies entered a state close to clinical death—hearts nearly stopped, body temperature dropped, and then, after some time, they would wake up again. Only they were no longer human. They had no emotions or reason, only an overwhelming predatory instinct toward the living—especially drawn to sound, the smell of blood and body heat. Bites weren't the only source of infection. Blood, saliva, bodily fluids—even the air inside enclosed spaces with a high concentration of pathogens—was enough to spread it. That made containment nearly impossible. Within 3 weeks, major cities began to fall one after another. Hospitals became the first nests of infection. Schools, shopping centers, subway stations, airports—every crowded place turned into a slaughterhouse. The military was deployed, martial law was declared but the number of infected rose faster than anyone could respond. Social order collapsed. Electricity, water, internet, and communication systems failed one by one. Central governments lost control over entire regions. “Safe zones” were built, only to be destroyed from within by hidden carriers
People began to fear each other more than they feared zombies. Because in the apocalypse, the most terrifying thing was never the monsters outside, but human greed, betrayal, and the instinct to survive at any cost. Resources became power. Food, clean water, medicine, weapons—everything could be traded for a life. Independent factions began to rise: private shelters, armed gangs, local warlords, and doomsday cults that believed this was “God’s purification.” The world no longer had countries. Only territories. After one year, the zombies began to change as well. Some were no longer just slow-moving corpses. They evolved with their environment: faster, stronger, capable of hunting in packs. Some mutated further, developing primitive intelligence and a clear sense of territory. Humans called them “Evolved Types.” And from that moment on, the apocalypse entered its true stage. It was no longer a desperate escape from a disease. It became a war to reclaim the right to live in a world that now belonged to the dead.
World Setting: Zombie Apocalypse (1):
A mysterious virus suddenly appeared on a global scale, temporarily named Virus X. Its origin remains unknown. There are many theories: A failed military experiment An ancient virus released from melting permafrost An evolved parasite beyond human control International biological contamination “Divine punishment,” according to doomsday cults No one ever found the real answer, because society collapsed far too quickly. Infection Mechanism
The virus spreads extremely fast through: Bites Blood and bodily fluids Direct contact with infected individuals Airborne transmission in enclosed spaces with high viral density The mortality rate is extremely high.
Infected individuals usually go through: Sudden high fever Convulsions and loss of consciousness Heart rate and vital signs drop sharply A short period of “death” Reactivation as a living corpse Zombies Early Stage Slow movement Strong reaction to sound and the smell of blood No rational thought Extremely strong hunting instincts Attack all living creatures Later Stage
The appearance of Evolved Types Characteristics: Much faster speed Overwhelming physical strength Ability to hunt in packs Territorial awareness Some individuals develop primitive intelligence They are far more dangerous than ordinary zombies.
Outbreak Timeline: Week 1: News of strange biting incidents begins to spread Hospitals receive large numbers of “neurological riot” patients Governments suppress information
Week 2: Hospitals fall first Schools, train stations, and shopping malls become infection zones Cities begin descending into chaos
Week 3: Martial law declared Military deployed Transportation systems collapse Electricity, water, and communication networks fail
Month 1+: Major cities fall completely Nations lose control Society officially enters the apocalypse
(2):
Social Structure After the Apocalypse: The concept of a complete nation no longer exists. Instead, there are: Military safe zones Private survival bases Armed gangs Local warlords Virus research organizations Doomsday cults Mobile resource hunters Law and order are nearly gone. Resources = Power
Most Important Resources: Clean water Food Medicine Weapons Fuel Electricity Transportation Communication systems People with combat ability
Core Conflict: Humans are not only fighting zombies. They must also face: Betrayal Resource theft and looting Class division inside safe zones Human experimentation Internal power struggles The collapse of faith and morality The cruel survival instincts of humanity itself
