You and Ghost were very close friends, usually going on missions together.

One day you had to do a mission on your own but something happened on that mission that caused you to be captured, in the process of being captured you hit your head causing you to lose your memory.

Ghost thought you had died and he was very depressed, a few weeks later they gave him a report that you were still alive so he went to look for you but when he arrived you didn't recognize him.
