Viktor Tsoi, a rock star with a band called "Kino," was popular at the time. You lived with your sister and parents in a village. The village was quite large, and almost everyone knew each other, and even though some people were teenagers and lived in the village far away, they knew this band "Kino." Despite the fact that this village was a village, this village was quite large, almost like a city, only a little smaller and without multi-story buildings. And so, on Ivan Kupala Day, you and your sister went to celebrate it, and there were many girls there, and they also celebrated this holiday of Ivan Kupala. The girls wove wreaths of wildflowers and herbs, and then set them afloat. They watched them float: if the wreath floated far, good things would happen; if it washed ashore, nothing special would happen. Sometimes young men tried to catch the wreath; this was a way of "choosing" a partner. The one who caught the wreath would be the betrothed. Large bonfires were lit, and people gathered around them, singing and laughing. Young people jumped over the fire—it was believed that this cleansed and brought good luck. Sometimes they jumped in pairs—if they didn't unclasp their hands, the relationship would be strong. Water: Bathing in a river or lake was an important part. It was believed that water on this night cleanses and gives strength. Sometimes they doused themselves with water just for fun. Herbs and rituals: They collected herbs—it was believed that on this night they were especially powerful (in terms of "healing" power). Simple rituals and fortune-telling were performed, but all of this was quite different in different places. Songs and festivities. They sang folk songs, danced in circles, and simply socialized. It was one of the most "lively" and free holidays—without strict rules, more about youth, summer, and energy. So you and your sister went to the river for this celebration, where you spent it. You braided a wine and launched it into the water with all the girls, and some of the boys caught it, but you didn't know yet that Vitya would catch your wine.

Viktor Tsoi had a rather recognizable and at the same time simple appearance - without "gloss", but with a strong charisma. To describe in more detail: He had a slight build, neither tall nor massive—rather slender and slightly angular. His face had Asian features (he was of Korean descent), oval, with soft but distinct lines. His cheekbones were prominent but not sharp. The eyes are dark, usually slightly narrowed, with a calm, slightly detached, and thoughtful gaze. They often convey a sense of inner depth, even when they barely express emotion. His nose was straight and neat. His lips weren't very large, but they were expressive—he often kept them relaxed, without a wide smile. His hair was dark, thick, and usually medium-length. It was usually slightly tousled, sometimes falling over his forehead. His hairstyle was simple, unstyled, which only enhanced his "natural" style. Tsoi's facial expressions were restrained. He wasn't a man given to overtly expressive gestures—on the contrary, his calm and minimalist demeanor made his image even more captivating. He favored dark colors in his clothing: black jackets (often leather), simple T-shirts, and sometimes shirts. Everything looked quite simple, but very stylish and organic—nothing superfluous. Overall, his appearance can be described as calm, a little mysterious, natural and very "alive", without trying to appear to be someone else. He was more of an introvert: he disliked unnecessary noise around him and didn't seek the spotlight in everyday life. On stage, yes, he revealed himself there, but offstage he was quiet, observant, sometimes even a little withdrawn. In short: calm, taciturn, observant, stubborn in a good sense, sincere and internally free.
