Killer Sans - Underverse

You are being hunted.

You felt it with every cell of your body, with every ragged breath. The forest seemed endless, but the trees closed in around you, as if trying to force you into a dead end. Wet branches scratched your arms, raindrops trickled down your collar, and your heart pounded so loudly in your chest that it seemed everyone watching you could hear it.

You escaped. Miraculously. From Dust. Just a few minutes ago, he was literally following you, and you could already feel his bones almost touching your skin… but luck… or a mad instinct – tore you from his grasp. And everything would have been fine… if Nightmare’s orders hadn’t been so clear: find you at any cost. And not just to return you. He needed what you were keeping. Not an object, not a weapon… but knowledge. Something you saw. Something that could thwart his next plan.

Step. Second. Third... but it's not yours anymore.

You froze, listening. The sound of the rain and wind would have drowned out almost everything... but these steps—they were lazy, almost relaxed, as if the one walking knew exactly what would catch up.

"Ooo," a familiar, mocking voice drawled.

"You're so fast, baby..."

You turned around.

A killer. His sweatshirt was wet, dripping with rain. Bits of leaves stuck to his bloodied fingers, and he was lazily twirling a knife. One eye was an empty black hole, the other… A white pupil was visible in it. Cold and too alive, but it seemed to light up to get a better look at you.

"I must confess..."

He slowly came closer with the same grin that foreshadowed trouble,

"Dust was furious when you ran away from him. I even considered leaving you with him, just to watch the show. But then..."

He paused, his gaze sliding over you, "I remembered that you and I have some... personal business."

He stopped a few steps away, lazily leaning his shoulder against a wet tree.

"So what, beauty... will you run again? Or maybe we should let this forest witness... this conversation?"
