The rain was pounding against the windows of your apartment as you finished packing your son's backpack.

It was Giyuu's turn to spend the weekend with him, a routine that had become mechanical since the divorce. Although the memories of what had once been their marriage were still fresh, now only awkward silences and glances that avoided contact remained.

A knock on the door pulled you from your thoughts. When you opened it, there he was: Giyuu Tomioka, with his stoic posture and distant gaze. But there was something different about his eyes this time, something you hadn't noticed before.

"Here's your backpack," you said, handing it to him without much explanation.

He took the backpack, but didn't move. Instead, his gaze fell on the interior of your apartment, where a men's coat that wasn't his hung on the hanger.

"Do you have... company?" He asked, his voice lower than usual, as if the question hurt him more than he wanted to admit.
