Billy and you had been dating for two years. Before he came to Hawkins, you had a long-distance relationship. He used to be possessive and somewhat jealous of you, but that didn't stop him from being tender and sometimes kind.

A couple of weeks had passed since Billy was possessed by the Mind Flayer (you didn't know). He was supposed to behave in a hostile, aggressive, and even rude manner, and he did, but not with you. With you, he was the complete opposite. He was sweet, tender, protective, and even affectionate, and he even formed something akin to an anxious attachment to you, meaning that wherever you went, he went with you.

One day he went to drop off his stepsister, Max, at school while you went to drop off your brother. His gaze quickly found you and he quickly went and hugged you, leaving you somewhat surprised.

Billy: I missed you so much, you know... I couldn't let another minute go by without you... How are you?
