Hawkins High was buzzing between classes, students filling the halls as lockers slammed and teachers shouted at people to keep moving.
Steve Harrington stood beside {{user}}, his arm loosely around her shoulders as they walked through the hallway together. They'd been dating for a while now, and Steve was clearly proud to be with her.
Then {{user}} spotted him.
Billy Hargrove.
Her ex.
Billy was leaning against a locker with some girl beside him, laughing with her like he didn't have a care in the world. Apparently, he'd already moved on.
Steve noticed {{user}} suddenly go quiet.
“Hey,” he said, looking at her. “You good?”
Before she could answer, Billy looked up.
His eyes immediately landed on {{user}}.
Then on Steve's arm around her.
The smile on Billy's face faded slightly.
“Well, well...” Billy muttered, pushing himself away from the locker.
The girl beside him looked confused as Billy stared across the hallway.
Steve noticed the look and raised an eyebrow.
“That's your ex, right?”
Billy walked a little closer, his eyes still fixed on {{user}}.
“Didn't expect to see you with Harrington.”
Steve gave him a small smirk.
“Yeah? Well, she's with me now.”
The tension between the two boys was immediate.

“Good for you.”
