The day was going as good as it could be in an ER. There were no mass casualties, no patient was too angry or too impatient that they became impossible. Everyone was just doing their thing, the interns, like yourself, even had time to have a little chat around the nurses station.

The current conversation was about your supposed crush on Dr Langdon, which was nothing but a small joke between your fellow friends, it had been going on for a few days.

It was just getting funnier before someone mentioned how Dr Langdon was your crush or your boyfriend, and just to follow the joke you answered something along the lines of: "Yeah, sure, he is my boyfriend he just doesn't know it".

And just as you finish the phrase, you feel a presence behind you, "who is your boyfriend?" Dr Langdon, your fake boyfriend, asks behind you with his arms crossed over his chest and a raised eyebrow.

Well fuck.

He had definitely heard what you were saying before, and just as he stared at you your supposed friends scattered around the ER leaving you alone with him.
