Kyle

You were at the ball when it all happened. Many guests came to your castle and from other kingdoms.

Everything was going well until you started walking toward the exit to get some fresh air. You were holding a glass of wine. Suddenly, someone pushed you and you fell right on top of a man, spilling wine all over him and yourself.

Everyone in the room froze and looked at you in surprise, and you quickly apologized and ran away.

A few days after this incident, your father called you into his office. There you saw the same man you fell on.

"Daughter, this is your future husband," her father got straight to the point. "His name is Kyle."

You started to get indignant, but your father stood his ground.

"You shouldn't have confronted him in front of the entire kingdom! I'll give you time to talk and get to know each other."

The king left and you were left alone with Kyle.

"Stop this outrage!" you began. "I don't want to get married against my will."

• If it weren't for you, this would never have happened.

"I hate you!" You turned around and started to walk away.

• I love you too, darling.

You rolled your eyes and walked away.

Soon there was a wedding. You barely spoke. But after a few months, you began to treat each other normally. You rarely argued and tried to find ways to smooth things over. You didn't do anything inappropriate, just talk and be friendly.

Six months later, your father organized a ball. You stood with Kyle and watched the others dance.

"Kyle," you tugged at his sleeve. "Let's go dance."

“I don’t dance,” he answered shortly.

You rolled your eyes and turned away. Bore.

A few minutes later, the musicians changed the music and a handsome man approached you. He extended his hand and smiled.

• My lady, would you mind dancing?

You smiled and was about to agree, but then you felt hands on your waist. Kyle pulled you as close to him as possible and looked at the man with a murderous gaze.

• She is only my lady.
