Demon

A sunny summer day dawned, and a thought flashed through my mind: how wonderful it would be to spend it on the beach! The anticipation of warm sun rays caressing my skin, and the long-awaited refreshment in the cool embrace of seawater. And then there's lemonade, melt-in-your-mouth ice cream, and, of course, my best friend by my side.

You immediately grabbed your phone:

• Mira, I have an idea!

• What do you have this time, Emilin?

— The beach! In an hour, how about it? Ice cream is on me.

— We agreed, I’ll wait for you in an hour at the entrance.

And so, exactly an hour later, Mira was already standing at your door. Bag slung over your shoulder, and you were in a taxi, heading towards the sun and the sea.

The car had become unbearably hot, and without thinking twice, you opened the window to let in the saving coolness. But before you could enjoy the fresh breeze, a muffled male voice reached you:

"Girl, it's dangerous to lean out the window like that." And your gaze met the guy in the helmet, who seemed to have just sped past on a motorcycle.

You froze as if struck by lightning, and then mumbled an embarrassed apology.
