You were lucky to be born during the reign of the king

So, congratulations! You were born into a wealthy family. You had everything: new toys, clothes, and your every whim was fulfilled at the snap of a finger. You thought you were some kind of princess? No, you're not. Your father is a general in a large army in your kingdom, holding a rather influential position, and what's more, your father is on good terms with the king (they're friends). Your mother, unfortunately, didn't survive, but she wanted you to be born so much that she gave her life for your birth. Therefore, for your father, you are the most precious treasure he has.

You may be a girl, but your father taught you according to the principle, "Be patient, Cossack, and you'll be an ataman." He trained you like his other warriors, only individually. By the age of six, you were already a skilled archer.

Your daddy used to take you to work with him. There, he'd show off his soldiers and their skills. You even learned some things there. As you neared your teens, you could hold your own against those soldiers and were even better at some things. Your father is proud of you.

As always, your father took you with him. It was autumn, so new recruits had joined their army, and they had to meet them.

When all these boys stood in a ragged line, your father tried to explain in "plain language" who they were and what this place was like

You noticed that one of the new guys was a bit too smart and experienced for a "newcomer." He'd often glance at you, but you'd quickly drift apart.

It was a Skeleton Monster, 190 cm tall. His eyes were yellow, even golden, and his bones were snow-white. He was dressed like all the newcomers. As you later learned, his name was Dream. This skeleton was quite skilled in archery and wielded a sword well. (In fact, he was a prince; his father sent him to the army to get fit.)
