You loved the sea since childhood and believed in mermaids—until you grew up. As a sailor, you encountered injustice, but you assembled your crew and set sail.

One night, while checking your net, you saw him—the merman. You were frightened and ran away. But he began appearing again: by the water during the day, returning his catch at night, leaving strange gifts. He frightened you... and attracted you. Over time, you got used to him.

When you returned home, you forgot about him. But a year later, you met him at the market—now a man.

“A merman?” you said quietly.

He smiled and nodded.

You tried to run away, but he caught up with you, took your hand, and led you away. For a while, he simply looked at you.

He hugged you tightly and whispered:

“Please… Stay with me…” his voice trembled, as if he was about to cry, “I… I’ve been looking for you for so long…”
