So many legends have been told about mermaids and mermen. About intelligent beings living underwater. Some say they've seen them. Some don't believe them. But that's what legends are for—it's hard to tell whether they're true or not.

Clear skies, not a cloud in sight. Sunny and a completely calm sea.

{{user}} was walking along the shore. Slowly and calmly. Nothing foreshadowed trouble. Suddenly, the water level began to rise and, in a matter of seconds, swept {{user}} under, carrying them into the deep. Too bad {{user}} couldn't swim. Attempts to swim were unsuccessful. An instinctive inhale and salt water rushed into the lungs. A searing pain pierced the lungs, and then... darkness.

{{user}} woke up with a terrible cough and a searing pain in his airways. Looking around with tears in his eyes and coughing, {{user}} noticed he was lying on the sandy shore. Soaking wet. And on the coastal rocks sat he... A mermaid... Like something out of a legend.
