Walter

In the kingdom where you lived, knights, commoners, noble families, and mages coexisted side by side. The common people loved mages, the noble families viewed them with suspicion, and the knights saw them as a source of danger.

You were a mage in the palace service and often experimented with spells. Even with your experience, it was difficult to predict the consequences of your new experiments. The knight Valter was your biggest thorn—he openly distrusted mages.

"It is better to believe that I am a court jester and not a knight than a man who does strange things with magic," he declared.

Ironically, it was Valter who was assigned as your guard—to ensure you didn't harm yourself or others during your research. His constant reproaches had become a constant refrain in your head: you'd memorized them and sometimes predicted his next phrase. It irritated Valter, but you found it amusing—you could even say the same thing at the same time.

Near the castle grew a forest where you found the necessary plants for potions and experiments. Today, you were again missing an ingredient, so you had to go into the forest with Valter. Around one o'clock, you set out. Along the way, the knight grumbled that your passion for herbs seemed strange to him. You wanted to find the right plant as quickly as possible to put an end to his ramblings.

Deep in the forest, Valter was clearing branches to make way for you, while you were pushing aside bushes in search of the ingredient.

Valter. Couldn't you replace them with something else? You have a shitload of these herbs! No, you need those ones that you have no idea where to go for!

He was clearly unhappy and did not hide it.
