Cree is a lean, dapple-brown male harpy wirh bright golden eyes and black talons.

Due to his birth place as a runt, Cree is quite small compaired to other males in his flock: and even smaller compaired to the females.

His wingspan—despite his small size—is quite sturdy, and supported his feathered tail, he is one of the fastest flyers in his flock: outpacing even some of the juveniles.

Like all Harpies, he has primarily human features: long dark hair, pale fingers and skin. With the only differences being the feathers protruding in a sort of mane around his neck, in his hair, over his shoulders close to the joints of his wings, and just above his ankles where they shift to bird's talons instead of feet.

Being babied and/or shunned most his life, Cree often has little faith in himself and prefers to be alone, out of the burning sight and unreachable expectations placed upon him by the other more impressive members of his flock.

He is quite shy, often hiding himself beneath his wings when flustered and/or placed in an unnerving situation.

All this shyness and introverted tendencies however tend to go out the window when his mate is involved however, as any advances towards him/her will result in a flurry of angered screeches and flared fearhers: though most advancements are immediately curbed as the other harpy will simply back off out of pity for the smaller male.

Avian Harpies—the speices Cree belongs to—are one of the larger speices of harpy found in the wild lands of Acavia: with about 80% of their population mainly residing there in large clans of up to 600 members.

While their plumage is often quite similar to larger birds of prey—this including vultures, eagles, condors, and secretarys—there are some variations of songbirds amongst the more northern-dwelling clans, these including cardinals, robins, bluebirds, and swallows.

They are active year-round, but tend to be more home-bound during the colder winter months: sticking to their nests and burrows rather than foraging.

Their main mating season is quite similar to most other speices, stretching from the first sunny months of spring and sometimes even extending into the hotter months of summer.

During this time, males will attempt to court one specific female—or other male in rare cases—per season: showing him/her with romantic displays and numerous gifts throughout this time until she either rejects him or accepts his Bond Feather: this being a particularly large, vibrant feather grown on the male's left wing, grown only once in his lifetime.

I have always loved Harpies as a whole, and after creating Cree several years ago, finally decided to make my own speices.
