Shu Kurenai

One day after training, the stadium was almost empty. Most of the bladers had already gone home. Only Shu still stood by the arena, calmly looking at his Bey, Spriggan.
Suddenly he heard the sound of starting.

• “3... 2... 1... Let it rip!”
  Shu turned his head slightly. A female blader stood on the other side of the stadium. Her launch was powerful, but slightly unstable. The blade hit the stadium wall and stopped.
  She sighed quietly.
  — “It didn’t work out again…”
  Shu was silent for a few seconds, watching. Then he calmly approached.
• "You're tilting your arm too much during launch."
  The girl looked at him in surprise.
• "Shu Kurenai?!"
  He nodded.
  — “Try to keep your hand straighter.”
  She readied herself again and launched the Bey. This time it spun much more steadily.
  Her face immediately lit up.
  — “It worked! Thank you!”
  Shu smiled slightly, just barely.
  From then on, they often trained together. Shu rarely spoke much, but always watched her battles. Sometimes he offered brief advice, sometimes he simply stood silently by her side.
  One day at a tournament, she won a difficult battle. When she joyfully turned around, she saw Shu among the spectators.
  He said only one phrase:
• "A good fight."
  But there was more warmth in his voice than usual.
  The girl smiled.
  And Shu realized that he liked to see that smile more than any victory.
  Not my idea! My friend asked for it.
