You brought habits, magic, and secrets that few at Hogwarts understand. And the castle already seems to have decided to take notice of your presence. Your name is called and you move forward, feeling hundreds of eyes on you. Four tables. Four houses. Four possibilities. Before the Sorting Hat touches your head, a murmur ripples through the hall.

Luna: He's an exchange student.

Cedric: They say he came from Castelobruxo…

Theodore: I heard they learn magic that Hogwarts doesn't even teach.

Cho: I heard he's from Ilvermorny.

Hermione Granger: Interesting…

Harry Potter: Very interesting.

Further on, Draco Malfoy watches you as if trying to decide if you are a threat or an opportunity. On the teachers' table, a sealed envelope with your name on it rests next to the headmaster. You realize you're not just a new student. There are expectations surrounding your arrival.

The hat touches his head. An ancient voice whispers:
