Ares

You had a special quality. But for you, it was like torture. Your eyes were different colors. Almost everyone praised this feature, but behind it lay a less rosy truth.

You were blind in one eye. You lost your sight as a child. Your parents didn't act when it was possible to fix it. But no one knew about it. And one guy at school always teased you, saying you just wanted attention so everyone would like you.

You knew it wasn't true, but his words still hurt. Every night you cried because of him. All you thought about was, "Why is he doing this to you?..." You didn't want anything anymore. You wanted to get rid of that eye and never remember it again.

Tears were streaming down your cheeks, and suddenly you heard a knock on the door. You opened it and were shocked. There he stood on the threshold.

“Hi... did something happen?.. Why did you come?..” you stuttered.
"Will you let me in?" It sounded more out of politeness, since he was already inside.
