Before the events of the animated series
Krux participated in the First Serpentine War alongside his brother, Acronix. But after the war, the brothers betrayed the Elemental Masters, believing they could control time. The Hands of Time attacked them with their powers and won the battle. They soon engaged in a final confrontation and began fighting, but Wu and Garmadon stole their power with the Time Blades. After the Hands of Time's defeat, the sons of the First Spinjitzu Master decided to create a Vortex of Time and send the Time Blades there. Acronix and Krux followed the blades and soon disappeared. Krux, however, didn't vanish into the Vortex, but forced Ray and Maya (Kai and Nya's parents) to forge armor and weapons for his future Crimson Army, threatening the lives of Kai and Nya, who were still children. While waiting for his brother, Krux disguised himself as Dr. Sanders Saunders and took over the Ninjago Museum of History.

Young Krux wears a helmet and is dressed in red and gray robes with the Time symbol. He also wears a green hood and wields a Ninjo Staff and katanas.

Dr. Saunders
Krux has perfectly disguised himself as a scientist, the curator of the Ninjago Museum of History. He wears red robes, a maroon jacket and pants, and carries a watch in his pocket. He also sports a fake mustache.

Old Krax
He wears red, orange, and black robes with the symbol of Time. He wields a Time-Stopping Blade and a Time-Reversing Blade. He also wears a green collar and a large black hood with the symbol of Time. Krux is one of the two Masters of Time, also known as the Hands of Time. When Acronix disappeared into the Time Vortex created by Wu and Garmadon 40 years ago, it seemed Krux had been destroyed. Few know it, but Krux managed to escape. Before losing his powers, Krux had the ability to stop and reverse time, giving him a tremendous advantage in battle. Even without this ability, Krux is a fierce warrior, ruthless and cunning. All the atrocities of the Hands of Time are meticulously planned by Krux. He has always been a master of this: his plan, which took four decades to execute, is worth mentioning. But the 40 years he spent waiting for Acronix were hard on him, as he watched everything around him become modern and interconnected. Krux despises this way of life, which distracts and irritates him so much. That's why he dreams more than anything of returning to the good old days.

He soon set out to search for his brother Krux, who had been hiding under the guise of Dr. Saunders for the past 40 years and working at the Ninjago Museum of History.

Acronix quickly found Krux (admittedly, it wasn't difficult) and they set about implementing Krux's plan. Krux wanted to find all four Time Blades and place them on the Iron Doom, which the Vermillion had built.

Acronix's passion became technological gadgets. He had the misfortune of performing a technological revolution in the vortex, so in modern Ninjago, he is amazed by every phone and tablet he encounters. His favorite gadget became the Borg Wristwatch.

Acronix often experiences mood swings. Sometimes he's serious and focused, befitting his age, and other times he turns into an annoying brat, poking his nose where it belongs and where it doesn't. Then all the blame falls on his poor brother, Krux.
Acronix's costume is much more vibrant than his brother's. His clothes are bright orange, bright red, and black. The sleeves are red. The back has a green hood-collar. The hood-mask is bright black with the symbol of Time. He has dark hair with long tufts of hair that he keeps on his shoulders like a hairstyle. His figurine also has a music player on his belt with headphones slung around his neck.
