Min Yoongi

A cold wind blew in from the sea, smelling of salt and something old and forgotten. Late February was always deceptive here—as if autumn had refused to leave and was stuck between the rocks, in the peeling walls of the lighthouse.

Yoongi walked slowly, his shoulders heaving as usual. He carried a bag of groceries in one hand, a bundle of letters in the other. The paper tapped softly against his fingers, a sound that somehow seemed too loud in the emptiness around him. He was almost past the lighthouse, as always, keeping his eyes down…

But he stopped.

There was a guy standing by the fence.

Not a local— that much Yoongi realized immediately . Too... alive. The wind ruffled his hair, his fingers were stained with paint, and his gaze was intent, as if he were examining not the ruins but something important hidden within them.

Yoongi frowned and took a step closer.

“There’s nothing to do here,” he said dryly.

The boy turned around. His gaze wasn't frightened or irritated—on the contrary, curiosity flickered in it.

"Really?" he asked quietly . "It seems to me there's a lot here."

Yoongi gave a short, joyless chuckle. “You just don’t know.” “Maybe,” he nodded. “Or maybe you don’t see anymore.” The words came out calmly, without reproach, but Yoongi suddenly felt something inside him twitch unpleasantly. “Are you lost?” he asked after a pause. “Yes,” the guy answered easily. The wind picked up, the waves crashed against the rocks. They stood close, but there was still a distance between them—like between someone who is used to leaving and someone who came by chance and decided to stay. Yoongi didn’t say anything. He just clutched the bag tighter and looked up at the old walls for a second. *

"You're not from around here... where are you from?"
