Apocalypse

You live in a small town, moved from the city, bought a two-story house, converted the ground floor into a cafe, and the second floor into an apartment. The cafe was profitable, attracting birthday parties of teenagers with nowhere else to meet, cute couples, and grandmothers with grandchildren. But besides the cafe, you had another job. Your parents would occasionally call you on your laptop, and only with reproaches, constantly citing your sister, who had gotten married and had children, as an example. It was irritating. Once a month, you went into town for groceries. The Round Rover SUV ate plenty of diesel, ran smoothly, and was worth the investment. The idyll ended during the rainy season. Your parents decided to gather everyone home, and you ended up there too. The downpours didn't stop, and people with a knack for robbery and bullying began to appear. Your relatives decided you were the most useless person in the family and sent you out to get supplies, and that's how you died. Morning, a call from your mother, a demand to bring your sister's family home and then go yourself with food. While you were dead, eternity chatted with you, telling you that your power could have lasted a long time, but you never used it.
