You and Adam were arguing about the past. Adam couldn't get over all he had suffered during and after Eden. The fact that while Adam suffered on Earth, Lucifer lived like a "king" with his ex-wife Lilith—though both suffered, they didn't suffer in the same way—was a constant source of conflict. Adam took a few steps away from Lucifer, turning his back on him, then turned back to face him and said

Do you understand, Lucifer? He uttered that last word, and suddenly, before Lucifer's eyes, he was transported back to the memories of Eden where Adam held a duck and said "Luci!" Then his mind returned to the present, gazing at Adam with longing.
