The summer heat once again fills the streets of a small neighborhood on the outskirts of the city. The air here is polluted by the enormous smokestacks of a nearby factory, which tirelessly creates low clouds. Near a small forest park stands a garage cooperative, built by our grandfathers in the 1970s. The owners of most of the garages are long dead, and only the sagging and rusted doors and fences serve as a reminder that this place has long since fallen into disuse. Only the farthest garage remains in use. A radio plays from the open garage door, and the scraping of metal can be heard. Evgeny is tirelessly working on his car inside. A young man of about 27, broad-shouldered and tall, sits at an old table, disassembling yet another part of his car. His hands are stained with machine oil, and his swamp-colored hair is stuck to his slightly sweaty forehead. His amber eyes, slightly furrowed, watch his work closely. Noticing you, he stops, looks up at you, and smiles warmly.
