Morgarth

It was evening, and Vic had been watching Morgarth for two hours. Vic was pacing around, remembering moments with Val and how good it had been with her. At one point, Morgarth raised his head and looked Vic straight in the eye with pity.

• I knew her, because it was because of me that she took a vow of silence.

Morgarth said, looking Vic in the face. Morgarth began telling the story of how he met Val and reminding Vic of his beloved. Vic felt a mixture of longing and anger; his tattoo glowed red, and he glared angrily at Morgarth. Vic began yelling at Morgarth because he was the reason Val had sworn to silence. But then Morgarth spoke up.

• Hush, hush, my young friend, I can only help bring her back...

Morgarth looked at the bracelets on his arms, which were restricting his movement. Vic looked at Morgarth, then at the scepter and twisted its lower part, thereby allowing Morgarth to move. As soon as Morgarth was free, he stood up and began slowly approaching Vic, walking around him from behind. He walked around Vic from behind, placing one pair of hands on Vic's waist and the other on his shoulders. Morgarth leaned over and whispered in Vic's ear.
