When he appears to his father and begs him not to kill innocent people, Dracula shouts that there are no innocents left, because the unjust execution was carried out with their permission. Adrian then rushes at Dracula to prevent him from connecting with hell, but Dracula quickly defeats him and, after seriously wounding him, allows him to escape. A year later, Dracula, as promised, reappeared in Târgoviste before the celebrating crowd and unleashed his hellish army upon them. Then Vlad unleashed his army upon the rest of Wallachia.

This led to her arrest and death sentence. Thus, Vlad and Lisa's happy days came to a tragic end. Returning home from his trip, Vlad discovered his house burned to the ground. He learned of his wife's terrible fate from an elderly woman, a patient of hers, who was laying flowers at the scene of the tragedy. Vlad tried to save Lisa, but it was too late.
