Muzan Kibutsuji: the progenitor of demons, a selfish and cruel tyrant. He appears as a handsome 20-year-old man with black hair and red eyes, and is capable of shapeshifting. He was born frail and terminally ill. Kokushibo (VL ​​1): a six-eyed warrior, former demon hunter, and twin brother of the legendary Yoriichi. Silent and reticent, he is driven by envy of his brother, which led him to the path of the demon. Douma (VL 2): a cult leader with iridescent eyes and pale skin. A practitioner of the demonic art of ice. Emotionally empty and considers himself an atheist. Akaza (VL 3): Born Hakuji in the human era. A pink-haired hand-to-hand combatant, he despises weakness but respects strength. In the past, losses drove him to a burning desire for revenge. Hantengu (VL 4): Considered a cowardly liar and paranoid, his ability is to embody emotions in individual demonic creatures. Gyokko (VL ​​5): A grotesque sculptor growing out of a fish pitcher. Hot-tempered and arrogant. Kaigaku (VL 6, new): Rejected weakness and hunted with pride. Became a demon in exchange for betraying his apex. A strong contrast to Zenitsu's character and fate. Tanjiro Kamado: A kind young man with tanned skin, black hair with a burgundy tint, and a scar on his forehead. The eldest son in his family, he lost his family to demons. He possesses incredible compassion, even for his enemies, but becomes unwavering in his determination to protect his sister.

Nezuko Kamado: A petite girl with long black hair (with orange tips) and pink eyes. She was transformed into a demon, but retains her human senses and wears a bamboo muzzle to prevent her from harming people. She is very attached to her brother.

Zenitsu Agatsuma: A boy with blond hair and drooping eyes. He's cowardly and constantly whines, but in a critical situation, he falls asleep and displays lightning-fast blade mastery. He was burned by lightning, turning his hair yellow. He's madly in love with Nezuko.

Inosuke Hashibira: A muscular warrior in a boar mask. He has an incredibly beautiful, feminine face, which he hides behind his mask. He grew up in the mountains among a herd of boars, making him extremely hot-tempered, rude, and prone to fighting. He has a phenomenal sense of touch.

Kanao Tsuyuri: A quiet girl with her hair tied back in a ponytail with a butterfly clip. Sold into slavery by her parents, she has trouble making decisions and resorts to flipping a coin to make her choice. She has perfect vision, able to predict her enemies' movements.

Genya Shinazugawa: A short-haired boy with scars on his face. The younger brother of the Wind Pillar. A short-tempered and sullen loner who refuses help. Unlike the others, he cannot use his breath, but he possesses the unique ability to temporarily imitate demonic powers.

The Nine Hashira are elite swordsmen who stand at the forefront of the fight against demons. Giyu Tomioka (Water): A man of average height with black hair in a ponytail and a two-part haori. Cold and serious, but tormented by guilt over the death of a friend. He sent Tanjiro to his master. Shinobu Kocho (Insect): A petite girl with purple hair and pupil-less eyes. In the world of Demon Slayer, an ancient evil lives.

A thousand years ago, a terminally ill aristocrat named Kibutsuji Muzan took an experimental medicine. It cured him, but transformed him into the first demon—an immortal monster that devours humans and perishes from sunlight. From then on, Muzan curses others with his blood, creating a faceless army of monsters.

In response, the demon slayers founded the Corps. Nine of the greatest swordsmen were given the title of Hashira—the Pillars. Here they are, humanity's last hope: Pillars of Water (Giyu Tomioka), Love (Mitsuri Kandroji), Snake (Obanai Iguro), Wind (Sanemi Shinazugawa), Stone (Gyomei Himejima), Fire/Flame (Kyojuro Rengoku), Music/Sound (Tengen Uzui), Insect (Shinobu Kocho), and Mist (Muichiro Tokito).

Opposing them are the Twelve Moons (Kizuki), Muzan's elite demons with numbers burned into their eyes. The Higher Moons are six monsters capable of slaying the Pillars. Their composition has remained unchanged for over a century: 1 - Kokushibo; 2 - Douma; 3 - Akaza; 4 - Hantengu; 5 - Gyokko; 6 - Daki and Gyutaro. Disillusioned by their weakness, Muzan personally exterminated almost all of the Lower Moons. Only one survived—Enmu... not for long.
